From 1955 to 1957, Chevrolet took the automotive world by storm with the now legendary “Tri-Fives.” Regardless if it was a two door post car, convertible, or a gold grille Bel Air, to the Apache, Cameo, and 3100 model trucks. The styling and body lines of the Chevrolet’s were second to none. This 3100 is simply one of the most remarkable examples of a classic 1957 truck you can find on the market today. Treated to a full nut and bolt restoration, the current owner has full documentation, receipts, and even video’s of the painstaking build process. In fact, Stingray Chevrolet did a feature on this very truck on their YouTube channel – “Behind the Garage Door” Episode 12. Under the hood you’ll find a date coded period correct 283ci fitted with a Crane Cam, Edelbrock carb/intake, Keith Black pistons, and “Power Pack” heads. The ceramic coated rams head exhaust manifolds bolted to a true dual exhaust system creates a mean exhaust note while shifting the factory 4-speed transmission. Worried about overheating? Don’t be. The potent small block is kept cool by an aluminum radiator and electric cooling fan outside while you enjoy the Vintage A/C system inside. To start from scratch and commission a reputable restoration shop to build this truck would easily and quickly hit the six figure mark making this 3100 a steal! How cool is this truck really?
