With the K5 Blazer’s bigger footprint, Chevrolet introduced the smaller and more maneuverable S-10 Blazer for people who didn’t need the space offered in the K5. The S-10 pickup truck-based Blazer debuted in 1982 as a 1983 model offering an 83-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder as a base engine. The original owner felt that 83-horsepower wasn’t enough and decided to stuff an LC9 Vortec 5.3-liter V8 under the hood with a few upgrades such as mid-length headers connected to a full dual exhaust and an aluminum radiator sending power through a smooth-operating 4L60E automatic transmission, making for an enjoyable and convenient driving experience, whether you’re in city traffic or on the highway. The car comes complete with a range of features to ensure comfortable and safe travels. It boasts fully functioning air conditioning, allowing you to stay cool and refreshed even on the hottest of days. The three-spoke leather wrapped Grant steering wheel front a set of Dakota Digital gauges with a 160mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, battery voltage, fuel level, coolant temperature and oil pressure. Mounted on the A-pillar is a set of additional gauges for battery voltage and fuel pressure. The digital odometer reads 4700 miles although true mileage is unknown.
