Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is proud to offer this 1937 Plymouth P4 2dr. Slant Back sedan. Plymouth only produced the P4 model for only one year. Coming out of the depression, the Plymouth P4 was designed with a longer and wider body than its predecessor. The emphasis was on building a luxurious car at a reasonable price. The interior combined luxury with safety with over padded seating, recessed controls on the dash, complete interior insulation, improved ventilation, and door handles that curved inward to alleviate objects getting caught. Plymouth was first to offer hydraulic brakes on lower priced cars. A feature that sent equal pressure to all for wheels evenly for smoother stops.
This 1937 Plymouth P4 2dr. Slant Back sedan is painted in classic black accented with a set of wide white wall tires with moon wheel covers. The iconic front grille, split rear window, and dual mirrors add to this Plymouths classic good looks. The interior is upholstered in gray cloth with split front seats and a couch like rear seat. The matching headliner and door panels add a comfortable feeling to the interior. Under the hood is a flathead I6 engine attached to a three-speed floor shift manual transmission. Equipped with a stove bolt 740 2bbl. Carburetor, Offenhauser intake, electric fuel pump, and dual stainless-steel exhaust.
