This 1956 Plymouth Savoy represents a good to a very good example of a traditional Custom 2-Dr Club Sedan conversion. While retaining the basic external looks and characteristics of this 64-year-old classic, this ’56 Savoy has been custom fabricated with the addition of several pieces of modern technology. Features such as a high performance 454 CID 522 hp V-8 motor, 3-speed Turbo 400 automatic transmission, power brakes, Vintage Air, Fat Man Mustang II front suspension, Ford 9″ rear-end, boxed frame, 4″ roof chop, Centerline alloy wheels, a custom upholstered interior and a modern state of the art Memphis stereo system make this a truly custom vehicle. The clean lines and solid proportions of this Plymouth classic ’56 Savoy serves as the basis for this sharply finished custom resto-mod. Many custom touches make this vehicle truly unique. It incorporates body customizations from a ’48 Pontiac, ’56 Ford Econoline van, ’54 Mercury, and a ’50 Ford. This 64-year-old Plymouth Savoy has seen a frame-off and body restoration.
