Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is pleased to present this 1972 Pontiac Grandville. The Pontiac Grandville was the top-trim model in Pontiac’s full-sized line from 1971 to 1975. It displaced the Pontiac Bonneville which had served as Pontiac’s top-trim model since 1958. The now second owner believes this beauty still retains its original interior including carpeting, which is in amazing condition, and original vinyl top. Repainted in the original color of Cumberland Blue this Pontiac shines bright. This Grandville includes the monstrous 455CID V-8 with a 4-barrel carburetor (rated at 220hp from the factory) & mated to a smooth shifting turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission, power steering and power front disc brakes. This Grandville is equipped with air conditioning, that still works, and the rare option of seat belts with shoulder straps. The front and rear bench seats are upholstered in the Keswick luxury cloth and expanded Morrokide vinyl, which wasn’t an option on the convertible models, and is accompanied by heavy-cut pile carpeting and cigarette lighters built into both sides of the back of the front bench. Riding on factory ordered Rally II wheels, it keeps the classic appeal to this showstopper! The three-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer and an analog clock surrounded an inset fuel-level gauge and warning lights. Extensive work has been done to this Grandville to ensure its roadworthiness. That work includes, new single exhaust, new master cylinder and front brake work, new water pump, new belts and hoses, new rear shocks, as well as a full tune-up. If you are looking for a luxury muscle cruiser this car should be at the top of your list.
